The player with the deepest pockets and most responsibility and his local representative were silent during a recent heated hearing on the PFAS spill in Brunswick: Senator Angus King and arguably the world’s biggest polluter, the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).

That DOD can poison us and claim sovereign immunity on national security grounds is a travesty of the common good. Senator King should provide some clarification, please.
