Leland Planning Board approves amendment to add at least 1,000 units to Brunswick Forest

LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – On August 27, the Leland Planning Board voted to recommend an amendment to the Brunswick Forest plan that could allow for the addition of at least 1,000 units.

An engineer from McKim and Creed, the firm that designed the site in question, says the developer wants to add a mix of single-family and terraced homes to the development.

To achieve this, Forestar Real Estate Groups wants to change about 112 acres from commercial to residential. The total area of ​​the Brunswick Forest Planned Unit Development is about 4,698 acres.
