Australian fashion brand Country Road has teamed up with social enterprise and streetwear brand HoMie to launch a new limited-edition collection this week.

This limited edition collection will consist of 230 pieces, featuring Country Road garments from previous seasons, including Heritage Sweats.

The designs were recycled at ABMT, a local Melbourne manufacturing facility that HoMie recently partnered with to scale up its local upcycling initiative.

As part of this limited edition collaboration, iconic Country Road pieces from last season will be reworked into unique designs at ABMT’s local Melbourne facility.

According to HoMie, five different design blocks were selected to cut and mix the different panels like a puzzle to minimize waste. The panels were then sorted into sizes and color groups.

The logo was created in collaboration with local illustrator Nick Campbell, with the brief and conceptual tagline being: “from the country lane to the city streets.”

To enhance the final look of the design, a convex paint was chosen.

With its Reborn program, HoMie explores the issue of clothing reuse in the fashion industry by transforming existing garments into unique pieces.

The limited-edition tracksuits, made from recycled materials, will be available at four selected stores on Country Road, including Brighton, Chadstone, South Yarra and Warringah Mall.
